Getting to IMPACT Muang Thong Thani: the Pink Line, two stations, the right hall
IMPACT hosts a dense run of Bangkok's November and December calendar, from BABYMONSTER and My Chemical Romance to the Motor Expo. The complex now has its own monorail branch, and the whole trip turns on one choice: MT01 or MT02, decided by which building your event is in.
The short answer: Ride the MRT Pink Line to Muang Thong Thani station, code PK10, and change there onto the Muang Thong Thani branch. The branch has two stations and they serve different ends of the IMPACT complex. IMPACT Muang Thong Thani station, MT01, exit 3, leads by a sky entrance into the Challenger halls, at the Arena end of the site. Lake Muang Thong Thani station, MT02, exit 4, leads by skywalk into IMPACT Forum, Hall 4. Pick the station from the building named on your event listing, not from the words Muang Thong Thani, because both the main line station and the branch carry the name and only the branch reaches the halls.
Why IMPACT is in your plans this season
IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, in Pak Kret in Nonthaburi province on Bangkok's northern edge, is the building behind a large share of the late year calendar in our listings. The run from late October includes the Thailand Mobile Expo 2026, Thursday 5 to Sunday 8 November, free; BABYMONSTER's world tour dates at IMPACT Arena on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November; My Chemical Romance at IMPACT Challenger Hall on Tuesday 17 November; Joji: Solaris at IMPACT Exhibition Hall 5 on Tuesday 24 November; and the season's anchor expo, the 43rd Thailand International Motor Expo, Wednesday 2 to Sunday 13 December at IMPACT Challenger, admission 100 baht on the IMPACT listing. Eighteen events in our calendar sit at the complex between late October and the end of December. The getting there page covers the city's transport in full; this article is the venue-specific version.
The Pink Line route
The Pink Line is the monorail across Bangkok's north, and its Muang Thong Thani branch, which opened in May 2025, is the change that made IMPACT a rail venue. From anywhere on the main Pink Line, ride to Muang Thong Thani station, PK10, and transfer to the branch train. Two stops follow: MT01, IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, and MT02, Lake Muang Thong Thani, the terminus. The trap in the names is worth repeating: PK10 is called Muang Thong Thani but does not serve the exhibition centre. Stay on for the branch, one more stop. From Don Mueang airport, the rail route published for delegates runs Red Line from Don Mueang to Lak Si, Pink Line from Lak Si to PK10, then the branch, which avoids the airport road entirely.
Which station for which building
| Station | Exit | Connection | Use it for |
|---|---|---|---|
| MT01 IMPACT Muang Thong Thani | Exit 3 | Sky Entrance into the Challenger halls | Challenger events, including the Motor Expo, and the Arena end of the complex |
| MT02 Lake Muang Thong Thani | Exit 4 | Skywalk into IMPACT Forum, Hall 4 | Forum events and the lake side of the complex |
The Sky Entrance at MT01 keeps published hours: 8 in the morning to 10 in the evening Monday to Friday, and 8 in the morning to 11.30 in the evening on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, with a note from the venue that the hours can change. That closing time is a real planning fact for evening concerts: it is the entrance, not the station, but the walk it saves is the one you will want after a show, so check the event day arrangements before relying on it late at night. Inside the complex, IMPACT's own shuttle bus links its Station 1 with the exhibition halls at Station 9, which is the fallback when you arrive at the wrong end of a site that is too large to cross on foot in the heat.
Road, parking, and the venue's own advice
Driving is the traditional way to IMPACT and the car parks are large: the published parking table totals 12,684 cars across the P1 to P5 lots, Aktiv Square, Lakeside and Cosmo Bazaar. Large, on a Motor Expo Saturday or a concert night, is not the same as sufficient. IMPACT's own traffic management advice for major events is to use the Pink Line, naming MT02 exit 4 for the Forum and MT01 exit 3 for Challenger Hall 1, and the complex supplements its main car parks with overflow parking and continuous shuttle buses on peak days. Public transport routes from the city are increased for major events, including from Victory Monument, Major Rangsit, The Mall Ngamwongwan and Chatuchak. If you are staying near the complex the night of a show, our hotels page covers the bases for events in the north of the city; if you are coming from central Bangkok, the train is the version of the trip that does not depend on Chaeng Watthana Road behaving.
A worked example: Motor Expo day
For the Motor Expo, 2 to 13 December, the plan writes itself. Pink Line to PK10, branch to MT01, exit 3, Sky Entrance into Challenger, where the show fills Challenger 1 to 3 with new cars, EVs, motorcycles and concept vehicles, admission 100 baht. Go on a weekday morning if your trip allows it: the show is a major sales event for car makers as well as an exhibition, and weekends carry both the shopping crowds and, on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 December, the rest of the city's weekend traffic heading north. Whatever day you choose, the return leg is the same railway in reverse, and it is the leg that decides whether the day ends easily.
