Bun Krathup is Nong Bua Daeng's distinctive end of Lent rite: communities build tall krathup, decorated frames hung with incense and offerings shaped like lotus buds, and carry them in procession to the temples. The Tourism Authority of Thailand's October calendar listed the 2026 festival from 21 to 25 October 2026 in front of the Nong Bua Daeng district office, describing the krathup incense tradition as a distinctive cultural practice of Chaiyaphum. The 2027 dates follow the festival's pattern in the days leading to Ok Phansa, Friday 15 October 2027. The district publishes its programme close to the season, so this record is marked expected.
