About this event
Loy Krathong falls on Tuesday 24 November 2026, and the Tourism Authority of Thailand festival portal closes its flagship Sukhothai and Tak Loy Krathong programmes on that night, which is the main night nationwide. In Bangkok the celebration is citywide rather than at one site: Asiatique The Riverfront and ICONSIAM stage their own riverside events, temples such as Wat Arun host floating, and Bangkok Metropolitan Administration parks stay open late for krathong floating. Only natural material krathongs should be used, and sky lanterns are not part of the Bangkok celebration.
