About this event
The Bank of Thailand holiday list marks Saturday 5 December 2026 as the birthday anniversary of King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great, National Day and Father's Day, with a substitution holiday on Monday 7 December 2026 because the date falls on a Saturday. Government offices and banks close on the substitution day, and Bangkok marks the date with merit making and father's day family gatherings rather than a festival programme. Tourist attractions and malls in the capital generally stay open.
