Every Sunday evening Thalang Road, the centre of Phuket Old Town, closes for Lard Yai, the big market: stalls of southern Thai food, local desserts, crafts and clothing run the length of the pastel shophouse street, with buskers and the Lard Yai sign at the Queen Sirikit Park end as the photo point. Weekly fixtures were outside the dataset's earlier convention; this season record is included under the Pass F brief and is marked expected because the span is this dataset's window rather than a dated edition. The market is a standing municipal fixture, busiest in the high season.
