About this event
Trang keeps the Vegetarian Festival at its town shrines in the Phuket tradition: nine days of white dress, shrine processions, fire walking at some shrines and a town full of vegetarian food stalls. The festival follows the first nine days of the ninth Chinese lunar month. The 2027 lunar window is 30 September to 8 October 2027, the same dates the dataset carries for the Phuket, Krabi and Takua Pa editions on reports from the close of the 2026 festival. Trang's own shrine programmes are published close to the season, so this record is marked expected.
