About this event
Chai Nat builds its winter festival from rice straw: villages and schools construct giant straw birds, some several metres tall, and parade them at the Chao Phraya Dam fairground before they go on display for the season. The festival, held in early February, pairs the parade with a provincial fair, local product stalls and the neighbouring Chai Nat Bird Park, one of Asia's largest aviary parks. The 2027 dates are not yet published by the province. The window shown follows the festival's established early February pattern and will be updated when Chai Nat province announces the edition.
