About this event

Each Sunday from about 16:00, Ratchadamnoen Road closes to traffic from Tha Phae Gate west to Wat Phra Singh and fills with stalls selling northern handicrafts, silver, indigo textiles and art, with temple courtyards along the route turned into food courts and buskers at the junctions. Market guides put the run at about 1.1 kilometres and the crowd peaks between 18:00 and 20:00. Weekly fixtures were outside the dataset's earlier convention; this season record is included under the Pass F brief. It is marked expected because the span is this dataset's window rather than a dated edition: the market is a standing municipal fixture, held every Sunday year round except on rare royal or election closures.
