The festival is an established twice yearly tradition held on Makha Bucha Day and Visakha Bucha Day at Wat Phra Mahathat Woramahawihan, and Makha Bucha Day in 2027 falls on 21 February 2027, so that date is expected for the February edition. Buddhists process with a joined religious cloth, called Phra Bot, to wrap around the chedi that houses relics of the Buddha.
