About this event
Hat Yai has one of the south's largest Thai Chinese communities, and its Chinese New Year fills the centre with lion and dragon dances, shrine worship, red lantern displays and festival food, drawing visitors from Malaysia and Singapore as well as the southern provinces. Chinese New Year falls on Saturday 6 February 2027. Hat Yai's municipal programme is published close to the festival; the window shown covers the New Year period on the town's established pattern, so this record is marked expected. The dataset's Nakhon Sawan record carries the country's most famous provincial Chinese New Year.
