About this event
The Tourism Authority of Thailand promoted the 2026 Illuminated Boat Procession as a signature event, running 16 to 27 October 2026 with the main procession of twelve district fire boats on 26 October, the end of Buddhist Lent that year, plus longboat races, markets and nightly molam. Ok Phansa in 2027 falls on 15 October. The 2027 programme is not yet published, so this record is expected on the same pattern: a festival of about ten days around Ok Phansa, with the main procession on the night itself.
