About this event
Lamphun's lantern festival fills Wat Phra That Hariphunchai and the old town with rows of coloured paper lanterns, each carrying a name or a wish, in the weeks around the end of Buddhist Lent and Loy Krathong. The 2026 edition is not yet confirmed by Lamphun province or the temple, so this record is expected: it follows the established annual pattern of a mid October to late November season, shown here from 1 November to Loy Krathong night on 24 November 2026, the part that falls inside this dataset's window. Visiting the temple grounds is free.
