About this event
Ok Wa, the Tai Yai end of Buddhist Lent celebration, is Mae Sariang's signature festival: the government events calendar listed the 2026 edition from 25 to 27 October 2026, opening with a cultural plaza ceremony at Wat Uthayaram, continuing with concerts and a sound and light show, The Magic of Mae Sariang, and closing with the Ngeung candle procession and a beauty contest. Ok Wa is fixed to the end of Lent, Ok Phansa, which falls on Friday 15 October 2027. The window shown places the 2027 festival across the Ok Phansa weekend on the 2026 pattern, and will be updated when Mae Sariang publishes its programme.
