About this event
Phu Kradueng is a tabletop mountain whose plateau, at over 1,200 metres, feels like another climate: pine forest, open grassland, cliff edge viewpoints such as Pha Lom Sak at sunset and Pha Nok Aen at sunrise, and winter nights cold enough for frost. Porters carry bags up the 5.5 kilometre climb, and most visitors stay a night at the Wang Kwang campsite. The Department of National Parks opens Phu Kradueng for a fixed season, 1 October to 31 May, and closes it through the rains for trail recovery. The window shown is the part of the 2026-27 season inside this dataset's range, 1 November 2026 to 31 May 2027. Climbs start in the morning only, and plateau accommodation is booked through the Department's booking system up to 60 days ahead.
