Kanchanaburi's bridge week commemorates the Thailand Burma Railway with a nightly light and sound show at the River Kwai Bridge, historical exhibitions, a Red Cross fair and local food and craft markets.

TAGTHAi gives the event dates for the 2026 River Kwai Bridge Week as 25 November to 5 December 2026, at the River Kwai Bridge and the area beside the Provincial Administrative Organization in Kanchanaburi. The centrepiece is a free light and sound performance, usually at 19:00, retelling the wartime building of the bridge by Allied prisoners of war and Asian labourers, followed on some nights by fireworks. The Thai Red Cross fair, cultural performances and pageants run alongside, about two to three hours by road or rail from Bangkok. Another listing gives 27 November to 7 December, the dates of the 2025 edition, and a final 2026 programme had not been published when checked on 27 October 2026, so these dates are unconfirmed.
