About this event
Ao Phang Nga protects the bay of limestone islands between Phuket and Krabi, and its visitor season follows the Andaman weather: the northeast monsoon months from November to April bring calm seas for the longtail and kayak trips that thread the collapsed cave lagoons of Koh Hong and Koh Panak, past Khao Phing Kan, the James Bond Island. The park is open year round, with boat services reduced in the roughest southwest monsoon weeks. The window shown is the published calm season pattern, November to April, so this record is marked expected: it marks the season to plan around, not a closure period.
