About this event
Bang Rachan is Thailand's most famous village resistance story: in 1767 the villagers and monks of Wat Pho Kao Ton held off Burmese armies for months before the fall of Ayutthaya. Sing Buri marks the commemoration each February at Khai Bang Rachan Park, with ceremonies at the heroes' monument, historical reenactment, traditional performance and a provincial fair. The 2027 programme is not yet published. The window shown follows the annual commemoration pattern centred on 4 February, the date the province keeps for the heroes' memorial, and will be updated when the programme appears.
