About this event
Salak Yom is Lamphun's offering festival unique to the Yong people: families build tall, elaborately decorated salak yom trees laden with gifts, which young women in traditional dress present at Wat Phra That Hariphunchai in a celebration of merit and community standing. The government events calendar listed the 2026 festival from 20 to 26 September 2026. The 2027 dates are not yet published. The window shown follows the festival's established late September pattern in the tenth lunar month season, shifted for the 2027 lunar calendar, and will be updated when Lamphun publishes its programme.
