About this event
Samut Songkhram's signature food festival celebrates the Mae Klong mackerel, the short bodied pla thu hauled from the inner Gulf and steamed in the town's woven bamboo baskets. The festival runs for about ten days each December at the provincial hall grounds, with mackerel dishes at festival prices, cooking contests, local product stalls and evening performance. The 2026 dates are not yet published by the province. The window shown follows the festival's established December pattern and will be updated when Samut Songkhram province announces the edition.
