About this event
Pang Sida, part of the Dong Phayayen Khao Yai World Heritage forest, has recorded more than 400 butterfly species, and the early rainy season brings them together in clouds at the salt licks and stream crossings along the park road. The Tourism Authority of Thailand's butterflies and wildflowers guide names Pang Sida a best time to visit in June and July, and the province builds a butterfly watching festival around the season, with viewing points at the visitor centre, Pang Sida Waterfall and the butterfly salt lick. The 2027 window shown follows the Tourism Authority of Thailand's published June to July season. Numbers peak after rain, and the park is open daily; mornings, roughly 09:00 to 12:00, are the best hours.
